This is a pivotal moment in the political consciousness of young Americans. For thirty years, youth voter turnout lagged behind the rest of the population and our democracy suffered for it. Young people today are turning all that around. They’re active, engaged, and poised to transform the face of politics. But they can’t do it alone. They need the support of their college and university administrations behind them. Presidents and chancellors must exercise leadership in order to equip their students for a lifetime of civic participation.
